WORKSHOPS

Workshops are at the heart of Soulshine’s value system. This year, we are simplifying and reducing the number of workshops offered, focusing on quality over quantity.

We strongly encourage all Soulshiners to consider what they could teach the community. The schedule will highlight practical skills and community building, among other offerings.

Everyone interested in proposing a workshop must also sign up for a secondary team. Getting involved with other crews ensures that you will benefit from community-building teamwork!

If your workshop is selected, this accounts for 6 of your 10 teamwork hours. The balance of hours will be fulfilled by your second team choice. This level of integration is critical for building a solid community and ensures you integrate more deeply and build everyone’s teamwork skills.

Performers

Unique to Soulshine, musicians, actors, dancers, singers, and other performers are community members first and foremost. Here, the emphasis shifts from “putting on a show” to building teamwork and relationships—a significant departure from traditional festival culture.

In our model we cherish culture alongside all the other foundational aspects of community . As co-creating crew members, performers lend their craft to nourish the well-being of the entire community.

While most festivals use music to attract crowds and sell passes, Soulshine does not sell pass to the public. We are building community to foster personal relationships and strengthen social resilience.

We hope you’ll join this experiment—bringing your passion and skill to help generate a festival that truly benefits us all.
